What started with just eleven enthusiasts has grown into a thriving Society, united by a shared determination to preserve the machines of the past for future generations to see and enjoy.

Where Our Story Began
Three Cocks Vintage Society was founded on 9th January 1978 by eleven people who shared an interest in preserving and restoring vintage machinery.
Their enthusiasm soon developed into something more. Just a year later, in 1979, the Society held its first rally, bringing people and machinery together and laying the foundations for an event that would continue to grow over the years.
As membership increased, enthusiasts began joining from a wider area. Therefore, the Society needed more room for its increasingly popular rally.
A Growing Vintage Machinery Society
In 1981, the rally moved to Boatside Farm. The new location proved a great success and gave the event the opportunity to continue developing.
Over the years, the Society has welcomed countless enthusiasts, exhibitors and visitors who share an appreciation for vintage machinery and the people who preserve it.
However, the machines themselves are only part of our story. The knowledge, memories and skills shared between generations are just as important. By bringing people together, we can help ensure that this valuable part of our engineering and agricultural heritage isn’t forgotten.
More Than Just Machinery
Our events provide an opportunity to see vintage tractors, engines, vehicles and other classic machinery while meeting the enthusiasts who dedicate their time to preserving them.
At the same time, we want our events to be enjoyable for everyone. Our rallies have become family days out, with displays and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
Furthermore, the Society is proud to support local charities through its activities. Therefore, every successful event helps us give something back to the wider community.
